We absolutely love V’s food. We have been coming here for 30 plus years. Kansas City gem. I disagree totally with Lindsays review. Cafe Verona is good but V’s is the real deal. Just ask V.

My husband and I got food here a few weeks ago and loved it so we revisited tonight (pick up). We ordered over the phone the same meal we got last time. Last time we were asked if we wanted fried and grilled chicken, this time we weren’t asked and when we got home much to our sadness we saw fried chicken instead of grilled. If we had known, or remembered we would have said something but we are still new customers. We will revisit again, but please verify with every order to avoid this happening to other guests. $50 spent and all we could eat was the pasta 😕 gotta go cook some protein now....

Vs is the real deal, authentic Italian. The restaurant has a quiet, charming, old world atmosphere - perfect for actually communicating and interacting with your companions over an amazing, "home cooked" meal. The menu has a variety of choices for any palette or dietary restrictions. Save room for dessert - the rum cake is delicious. V's has been around for decades. Delicious Italian fair that has the home cooked feel and taste. Only one - not a chain. Brunch is outstanding!

My family gathered for Sunday brunch and we had a wonderful time. The food was great and our server was fantastic. The only downfall was that I ate too much... My fault, but the food was so good I didn't want to stop. Be aware when you go for Sunday brunch you will eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner all in one. Enjoy

Spur of the moment decision to make a quick reservation and glad we did. Food was excellent as always since I grew up with V's. The baked lasagna was superb, and 8 oz. Cut of prime rib perfectly cooked. Natalie took care of the hospitality and was on mark. Great meal and memories, a must try. I brought a bus tour group here and we had a great experience. Greg was a pleasure to work with in setting up the dinner, and the food was excellent. V's has an attractive, pleasant, and quiet atmosphere that was just right for our group.

Their food is amazing. The house salad is my favorite. The main course has always been delicious no matter what I order. Then, you get CAKE. Amazing cake. Do yourself a favor and go there.

My husband and I frequent Cafe Verona which is a much better quality restaurant. We found a good coupon online and decided to give this place a try. If you use the coupon, you cannot get the happy hour special, which they tell you after you’ve ordered. The price would not be a frustration if the food was good for what you pay. It’s Americanized Italian food, with overcooked pasta and without many spices. Take my advice and go to Cafe Verona on the square. Their food is worlds better- better ingredients cooked the right way.

Greg, Thank you for providing an amazing experience for my parents this Valentine's day. V's has always been a favorite for me. The atmosphere is the best! Prime rib is oh so tender and delish. So many favorites. The pasta bar, Sunday Brunch. I'm never disappointed. Tonight, however, was a wonderful time!!!!

What a great place! We had a family dinner buffet (25 people) in our own room. We had the "Southern" menu with brisket and fried chicken. Truly delicious. Service was great too. I highly recommend it for your family dinner.

Good food and beverages. Great customer service and setting. My only complaint is that the seating is really small and if you are sitting across the table from your date or anyone, your feet will touch theirs.

Not impressed. My husband had Chicken Parmesan for lunch. The chicken was burnt, soggy and just tasted like it was not cooked to order. My husband brought it to the attention of the waiter who did nothing but offer a slice of rum cake and said "we will find something better for you next time". It was our first time there, so we definitely would not go back.

I love the old style Italian restaurants and V's didn't disappoint. The food was excellent and the service was decent. It seemed like our waitress might of had to many tables. She worked hard to keep everyone happy, but seemed to be covering a lot of ground.

I came for the Restaurant Week lunch buffet special. The food was great. I had the best lasagna ever and the service was excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Customer service was great! The lasagna I had was really good. My husband had the breaded eggplant and his was really bland. He was eating the roasted garlic garnish for some flavor.

My wife and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was very good, appetizer was very good, and service was very good. The steak delmonico was horrendous it wasn't stuffed like it used to be. The amount of garlic on it was if it was dumped on via dump truck load. The spinach was frozen and heated not fresh. I have been a customer there for literally 35 years. Very sad $39.00 steak. I've had better steak at waffle house.

I love V's. I have been a customer for many years and never an unhappy experience and that is WHY we always return. Be it an entree dinner, lunch buffet, Sunday Brunch, the food and service are par excellence. So, naturally, I chose V's for my daughter's baby shower and was very pleasantly delighted. Gregory saw that all my choices were freshly prepared and the Piranesi Room scheduled. We chose a dinner buffet of lasagna, cannelloni florentine, and fried chicken. It was all beautifully set up and ready for us as we arrived. Jerry and Jimmy, our servers, gave us over-the-top attention and helped me oversee that our 30 guests were satisfied. Even to the point that one guest was vegan and Jerry found a dish to her liking (and so much she had some boxed to take home). It was very well worth the cost to have a lovely shower with a delicious lunch and without all the work. Thank you, V's!

Salad and bread were fantastic. Alfredo sauce was the best tasting I have ever had. Chicken spiedini was dry and pasta portions were small. Pasta is cheap...give me more. No need for Italian rum cake with dinner.

Ate here a couple of weeks ago. "Absolutely" will be returning. The salmon was perfect. Loved the ambiance. Fantastic service. Great food. Relaxing, un-rushed feeling during and after the meal. Very attentive server. Traditional Italian.

The atmosphere was very nice. The staff was very attentive, even though our server seemed to be somewhat annoyed with our large party (About 20 people). The food was overpriced for the quality. The prices give you the impression that these are family portions, but they are not. Our group was split half and half. Some likes their, some did not. I ordered the shrimp and lobster fettuccine alfredo, and it was mostly sauce, and what's worse is that the sauce tasted like it came straight out of a Prego can. Would not go back.

In large part because our first two years and by complete coincidence, Natalie provided us with fantastic service. This was followed up by another great night thanks to our waiter, Sam. In 3 years we have had one small problem with food (nothing more than a small mistake) and it was taken care of/we were treated so well that WE were the ones apologizing by the end.

The food was fabulous. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. And the wait staff was as friendly as could be considering we just walked in wearing street clothes t-shirts and it was lunch. A great time with great company.

V's is one of my favorite places to eat. It had been a little while since I'd been in because I have been trying to limit my carbs. It was delicious as usual. I had the chicken parmesan. It comes with a salad, bread, a side of spaghetti and of course the rum cake for dessert. Everything was great including the service. The only thing I did notice is they raised the prices.

It was our first time eating an early dinner here. We loved it. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was romantic and angelic. I will be spending my anniversaries here for years to come. Best place in town.

Excellent for all sized groups consistently over the years. Past summer's family reunion or this spring's after funeral family meal--both in the big room. 20 years ago used it for big surprise birthday. The key is they are always ready to meet your needs with unobtrusive serving and excellent cuisine. No wonder it's been our neighborhood restaurant for all the yes between. Thanks to all the staff that make us feel so welcome whether it's for just two or fifty

It was good overall. A little over priced which is why I gave 3 stars and not 4. The marinara was good. I overheard our waiter tell someone who asked what chainti was ... He said it was a flexible table wine. I don't expect a sommelier, however I would expect a server to know the basics working at an Italian restaurant or any restaurant serving wine. Also for their half price happy hour, they won't honor that at the table, we were told that we would have to go to the bar...

Best Italian food in the Kansas City Metro Area! Mama V is wonderful. Even prepared cheese ravioli for me when I said I was vegetarian - now, that's great customer service! Did I say how wonderful the food is? PRIMA!

Great food great service. First time dining here and the staff and owners grandson treated us like family. Everything that was suggested off the menu was amazing! Will definitely dine here again. One of my new favorites

I can't even say enough good things about this place. It has always been great. Not just good, but great. Everytime for at least 40 years that I have been my meal, service and fellow clientele has been superb. It's class and comfortable. Can't wait for the next time.

Richard was our server and did great. The salads are awesome. I would upgrade to the Cesar if asked. The bread was good. We had chicken parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, and Chicken spiedini. All of which was great. My father-in-law said they were the best meatballs he ever had. There was plenty of parking. It's a nice building with a nice interior. We did not sit at the bar but it looks nice too. There is a nice outdoor seating area with a fountain and running water.

Oh wow. What an amazing place this is! I visited V's on the recommendation of a co-worker and I'm so glad I did. The food is fresh, fast, and friendly service. Go! You won't be disappointed!

I stopped in for supper on a cold day this week. They were very quick to seat me and my drink (water) was brought out quickly. I ordered the Veal Parm and it was very good. The sides served were spaghetti and a salad. The house Italian dressing on the salad is very good. The red sauce on the spaghetti was also excellent. A piece of rum cake is served as desert (included) and was also very good.

A lovely place to have a delicious meal. A group of friends came here and ordered steaks and pasta. All turned out wonderfully. Service was A1 as well.

Wonderful place for affordable lunch buffet. Just a lovely atmosphere for couples especially. Still bringing fresh food out 20 minutes before end of buffet serving time. Staff was perfect! Can't wait to go back!
